Using Google Alerts to Monitor News and Events on the Web

GOOGLE ALERTS!

Google Alerts allows users to set email alerts for ANY type of content on the web. This can be very useful. I am going to set up a Google Alert for "Learning Technology".

1. Goto www.google.com/alerts

2. Set your criteria

3. Goto your email and wait the news to show up.

 4. Set a Filter in Mail - Goto Settings

Set your criteria

Click "Create Filter"

Notice that you now have a folder called Learning Technology. Every time you get an email about learning technology it will put the email into this folder. It will also put the folder in your inbox but you can set up the filter to skip inbox if you prefer.
